Hershey Little League utilizes fields owned by the Derry Township School District and Derry Township Parks and Recreation. While the League provides some maintenance and upkeep of the fields, ultimately the School District and Township have final decision authority on whether fields are open. The League will do its best to provide timely updates on field availability due to inclement weather through email/text notifications. Even if a field is not officially closed, coaches and participants must use their best judgment to determine if a field is too wet to use.
Coaches are required to rake and brush fields, paying close attention to home plate and around bases. North Field's mound must be covered by the last team to use that field in a day. The League will provide training on how to properly care for the fields. If you have any questions please reach out to our field managers.
